So the scheme I concocted appears to rely on Katy slavishly carry Brian’s spelling book, finding a dollar tucked inside, and stealing it. Then I would root around in her purse, find the thieved dollar, and mercilessly embarrass her in front of Brian. Perhaps I had planted the dollar there in the first place? Let’s hope I was so clever!
